tokenized stock trading — A Nasdaq-listed fintech firm led by the former head of FTX Europe is planning to offer tokenized U.S. stock trading under a new Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) exemption framework.

The company, Perpetuals.com, would be the second entity to pursue this route, following a joint venture between crypto exchange OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange.

Perpetuals.com Group CEO Patrick Gruhn co-founded Digital Assets AG, which created tokens linked to stocks for platforms including FTX and Binance before its acquisition by FTX Group.

The firm said trading could potentially begin by mid-November, though it must first complete technical and compliance preparations before launch under the SEC’s regulatory framework for innovation.
