Tokenized Stock Trading Booms Outside US Hours, Value Hits $3.3B

The majority of tokenized stock trading on major blockchains now occurs outside regular US market hours, with the sector’s total value reaching nearly $3.3 billion, according to data cited in a market report.
More than 70% of trading volume for tokenized stocks on BNB Chain takes place outside the traditional 9:30 am to 4 pm Eastern session, with the figure at 63% on Solana and nearly 60% on Base. The data suggests investors are using the on-chain assets specifically to trade when traditional US exchanges are closed.
The total value of tokenized equities has grown by 15% over the past 30 days. A significant portion of that value is concentrated with issuers like Ondo Global Markets, xStocks, and bStocks, whose tokens are issued and traded across different blockchains.
The growth in round-the-clock trading coincides with recent US regulatory developments. Last month, the Securities and Exchange Commission introduced an “innovation exemption” allowing qualifying venues to trade tokenized US-listed stocks on public blockchains, provided they meet specific disclosure and shareholder rights requirements.
