Strategy’s MSTR nears golden cross weeks after bitcoin signal

Strategy MSTR, the largest publicly traded corporate holder of bitcoin, is on the verge of a major bullish technical signal known as a golden cross, weeks after bitcoin’s own chart flashed the same pattern.
A golden cross occurs when an asset’s 50-day moving average price rises above its 200-day moving average, a transition some traders interpret as a decisive shift to bullish momentum that can precede a prolonged rally. For MSTR, which holds $69.81 billion worth of bitcoin, the cross could materialize as soon as Monday, October 20, 2026.
Since the company initiated its bitcoin accumulation strategy in August 2020, the stock has experienced only two previous golden crosses. Both instances were followed by significant rallies in the share price, according to the report.
The development underscores the continued tight correlation between the price of bitcoin and the stock of its largest corporate holder. The signal for MSTR arrives just weeks after bitcoin’s own price chart completed a similar golden cross, suggesting synchronized bullish momentum across the core asset and its most prominent public-market proxy.
