AnchorWatch Launches Bitcoin Custody Trust with $10,000 Monthly Fee Cap

Bitcoin custody and insurance firm AnchorWatch has launched a state-chartered trust company in Nevada, offering qualified custody services with a monthly fee capped at $10,000.
The AnchorWatch Trust Company opened for business on Monday, authorized by the Nevada Financial Institutions Division. Its service targets public companies, fiduciaries, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals holding Bitcoin. The company’s flagship pricing model charges fixed-dollar annual fees tiered by vault size, capping at $10,000 per month, a departure from the typical percentage-of-assets fee structure used by other qualified custodians.
AnchorWatch offers two custody models: a flagship service where it holds keys alongside client trustees, and a multi-institution model distributing key control across AnchorWatch, BitGo in the U.S., and CoinCorner in the Isle of Man. The firm also provides insurance, written in the client’s name and backed by Lloyd’s of London syndicates, with coverage limits of up to $370 million per client for losses including violent coercion and internal fraud.
The company states its underlying custody platform, Trident Vault, has been securing customer Bitcoin for 20 months and has undergone security audits. The new trust company aims to address institutional concerns over custody concentration risk and high costs.
