CoinMarketCap acquires derivatives data platform CoinGlass

acquires derivatives data platform — CoinMarketCap has acquired the crypto derivatives data platform CoinGlass to expand its coverage of leveraged trading markets, the company announced on September 25, 2026.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed. CoinGlass will continue to operate under its own brand, with its existing team, website, mobile application, and pricing structure all remaining unchanged following the acquisition.

The platform provides real-time data on key derivatives metrics, including open interest, funding rates, liquidations, and options data across 28 exchanges and more than 2,500 trading instruments.

CoinMarketCap stated the move will integrate derivatives positioning data, such as liquidation clusters and funding rate trends, directly alongside its core cryptocurrency price feeds for its users.
