CryptoQuant CEO Sees Rising Bitcoin Hashrate as Institutional Bullish Signal

rising Bitcoin hashrate — CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju has labeled Bitcoin’s recovering network hashrate an “indirect bullish signal” from traditional finance institutions backing major public miners.

Ju stated that a higher hashrate signifies stronger network security and improved fundamentals for Bitcoin as a store of value. According to CryptoQuant data, Bitcoin’s hashrate has rebounded roughly 45% from summer lows, climbing from about 726 exahashes per second (EH/s) in July to approximately 1,050 EH/s this week.

The recovery is seen as an endorsement from institutional investors who finance public mining companies. While the current hashrate remains below its October 2025 peak of 1,305 EH/s, the trend indicates growing confidence in Bitcoin’s long-term value proposition from capital allocators.

This institutional activity is reflected in ongoing capacity expansions, such as Nasdaq-listed NIP Group’s recent agreement to acquire 4.47 EH/s of mining hardware. Despite this fundamental growth, mining stocks faced significant selling pressure this week, with major names like TeraWulf and Core Scientific dropping around 12% amid a broader market downturn.
