Hyperliquid CEO: All Exchanges Must Adopt Public Blockchain Infrastructure

The CEO of the Hyperliquid Policy Center argues that public blockchain infrastructure will become a competitive necessity for all cryptocurrency exchanges as on-chain markets enter the U.S. regulatory perimeter.

Avichal Garg, also known as Chervinsky, stated that the adoption of this infrastructure is inevitable for exchanges to remain competitive. He made these remarks during a discussion on the future of digital asset markets.

Chervinsky emphasized that the current focus on regulated perpetual futures is just the beginning. The next critical step, which he anticipates happening soon, is bringing on-chain spot and derivatives markets fully within the U.S. regulatory framework.

This integration, he contends, will force a fundamental shift in how exchanges operate, moving beyond centralized order books to leverage the transparency and composability of public blockchains.
