OKX Secures Investment from Circle, Ripple in $25 Billion Funding Round

OKX Secures Investment — Crypto exchange OKX has secured a new investment round from major industry players including Circle, Ripple, and Standard Chartered’s venture arm, valuing the company at $25 billion as it expands beyond its core trading business.
The funding, which also includes quantitative investment manager QRT, was announced on October 6, 2026. It follows OKX’s previously announced joint venture with Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the owner of the New York Stock Exchange, to build a 24/7 market for tokenized U.S. stocks.
The exchange is positioning itself as a global financial technology platform, aiming to bridge crypto, payments, and traditional assets moving onto blockchain rails. The planned tokenized stock market with ICE would use stablecoins for trading and settlement.
Analysts from Macquarie suggest early demand for such a platform may come primarily from retail investors, with institutional adoption potentially slowed by regulatory uncertainty and the costs of integrating new systems.
