Kazakhstan court bars Coinbase and five crypto exchanges from AIFC

Kazakhstan court bars Coinbase — A court in Kazakhstan has barred Coinbase and five other cryptocurrency exchanges from offering unlicensed services within the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC).
The Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) secured the injunctions against BingX, Bitcoin.com, Huobi Global (HTX), BitMart, Coinbase, and WEEX. The orders prohibit these platforms from offering or marketing their services to users within the AIFC jurisdiction.
The court’s ruling applies strictly to users operating inside the AIFC, a special financial zone in Kazakhstan’s capital, and does not extend across the rest of the country. The AFSA stated that LBank was removed from the initial order after resolving the regulator’s concerns.
The authority also noted that Apple and Google could face potential duties regarding app-store listings for the platforms once they are formally served with the court orders.
