Chainalysis breach — Blockchain intelligence firm Chainalysis has disclosed a security breach that exposed customer names and email addresses, while also revealing details on how attackers behind the recent Binance hack are evading stablecoin freezes.

The company said a hacker used “offensive agentic techniques” to access its internal systems and obtain customer information. Chainalysis stated it is notifying affected customers and has taken steps to secure its systems following the incident.

Separately, Chainalysis analysts have been tracking the multibillion-dollar hack of cryptocurrency exchange Binance. The firm reported that the attackers are using a Tron protocol to circumvent stablecoin freezes, allowing them to move stolen funds despite industry-wide efforts to block the assets.

The dual disclosure highlights both the persistent security challenges facing crypto firms and the sophisticated methods employed by attackers to launder stolen funds across different blockchain networks.
