Strategy Pauses Bitcoin — Strategy (MSTR) reported no bitcoin purchases for the week of October 19-25, instead spending $204.9 million to repurchase its own preferred stock.

The company continues to hold 848,517 BTC, acquired at an average price of $75,446 per bitcoin. With Bitcoin trading near $80,000, the firm’s holdings show an unrealized gain of approximately $3.9 billion.

Strategy has paused its bitcoin acquisition strategy several times this year, redirecting capital toward buybacks of its STRC preferred shares. The company stated that repurchasing these shares below their $100 face value lifts the net bitcoin per share for common stockholders.

The firm maintains a cash reserve of $4.83 billion, which it says covers preferred dividends and debt interest. Strategy has offered no specific timetable for when it will resume buying bitcoin.
