Hong Kong names Solana Company a strategic enterprise

Hong Kong has designated Nasdaq-listed Solana Company as a strategic enterprise, a move that grants the blockchain infrastructure firm expedited government support.

The company, which operates under the ticker HSDT, was included in the seventh batch of businesses selected by Hong Kong’s Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES). It is the only blockchain infrastructure company to be onboarded by the office in 2026, according to a company statement on Thursday.

A Solana Company spokesperson said the designation provides a single point of contact across government agencies, faster pathways for recruiting overseas talent, and introductions to local institutional partners. The firm operates staking and validator services and advises financial institutions on blockchain adoption.

The company plans to establish Solana validator operations in Hong Kong as part of the Pacific Backbone initiative, which aims to build a low-latency blockchain infrastructure network across the Asia-Pacific region.
