Sazmining Sells Jack Dorsey’s Proto Mining Hashboards to Retail

Proto immersion hashboards — Sazmining announced Thursday it is now selling immersion hashboards from Jack Dorsey’s Proto directly to individual and institutional buyers, lowering the barrier to entry for Bitcoin mining.

The Wyoming-based mining service provider will sell the hardware, which delivers roughly 200 terahashes at around 15 joules per terahash, through its platform. Buyers own the hashboards outright while Sazmining handles deployment, monitoring, and maintenance at a U.S. facility, with mining rewards sent directly to the owner’s wallet.

The move follows a multi-megawatt supply deal between Sazmining and Proto, the Bitcoin mining division of Dorsey’s Block. Both companies expect the partnership to expand with demand. Sazmining CEO Kent Halliburton said the company’s aligned-incentive model means it only earns when it produces Bitcoin for clients.

Halliburton also framed mining as a form of Bitcoin acquisition diversification, where costs are spread across a machine’s working life rather than paying a single market price. Sazmining operates renewable-powered facilities in the U.S., Paraguay, and Norway.
