Block Launches Major Ad Campaign to Promote Bitcoin Spending

Bitcoin spending — Jack Dorsey’s financial technology company, Block, has launched a major advertising campaign aimed at encouraging people to use Bitcoin for everyday purchases.
The campaign, which debuted on Thursday, will run across YouTube, X, Meta platforms, and on television through Fox Sports until the end of the year. Ads will also appear in select movie theaters for screenings of major films like “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Dune 3.”
In a statement, Block’s Bitcoin Lead Miles Suter described the initiative as the company’s “first major illustration of what a Bitcoin-centric financial system could look like.” The accompanying advertisement features everyday Americans discussing economic frustrations, concluding with the slogan: “Some things don’t make sense. Bitcoin does.”
The push aligns with Dorsey’s long-stated goal of making Bitcoin a global currency. Block’s ecosystem, including its Cash App and Square point-of-sale terminals, already supports Bitcoin transactions and payments via the Lightning Network.
