Breez SDK Adds Stablecoin Payments Feature for Bitcoin Apps

Bitcoin software provider Breez has added a new feature to its Breez SDK, enabling apps built on it to let users accept stablecoin payments from over 30 networks directly into a bitcoin balance.

The ‘Receive USDT/USDC’ feature allows a sender to pay from their usual wallet on networks including Ethereum, Base, Solana, and Tron. The Breez SDK generates a deposit address, and the Flashnet service converts the stablecoin payment in the background.

The converted funds are deposited into the receiver’s non-custodial wallet as bitcoin, or as a dollar-denominated stable balance if that feature is enabled. Breez had previously launched a ‘send’ function for stablecoins in June.

The update is part of Breez’s ongoing effort to improve usability for bitcoin applications, following recent additions like passkey login and instant onboarding. The company’s SDK is a developer toolkit for integrating bitcoin and Lightning Network payments.
