US Bitcoin ETFs See $1.7 Billion Inflows as Price Tops Investor Cost Basis

US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded over $1.7 billion in net inflows across two days this week as Bitcoin traded above the estimated average cost basis for ETF investors.
According to SoSoValue data, the funds saw $715 million in net inflows on Tuesday, September 22, following a 2026 high of $999 million on Monday. Total net assets across all US spot Bitcoin ETFs reached approximately $111 billion on Tuesday, a 56% increase from their 2026 low of around $71 billion recorded on June 30.
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust led Tuesday’s inflows with $350 million, followed by Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund with $257 million and the Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust with $99 million, per Farside Investors data. Bloomberg Intelligence ETF analyst James Seyffart noted that the average Bitcoin ETF holder moved back into profit for the first time since January as Bitcoin surpassed his estimated ETF cost basis of $81,722 per coin.
The inflows coincided with Bitcoin trading around $86,000 on Tuesday, according to CoinGecko. The asset’s price briefly surged above $87,000 on Wednesday.
