DeFi Traders Pair Tokenized Stocks With Memecoins Like BONER

DeFi traders on Robinhood Chain are creating novel markets by pairing tokenized stocks with memecoins, with a BONER/HIMS pool briefly sending the tokenized healthcare stock’s price to over four times its real-world value.
The trend involves using tokenized real-world assets, like the HIMS token tracking Hims & Hers Health stock, as composable assets in decentralized liquidity pools. In one instance, a pool pairing HIMS with the BONER memecoin held more than half of all circulating tokenized HIMS shares, causing its on-chain price to spike to $132.64 compared to the NYSE closing price of $28.84.
Analysts note this demonstrates the transformative potential of bringing traditional equities on-chain. “A listed stock effectively becomes a composable DeFi asset at an unprecedented scale,” said Thomas Probst, a research analyst at Kaiko. The markets are built using automated market makers (AMMs), enabling swaps between tokenized stocks and virtually any other crypto asset.
Launchpad LONG reported that its stock-paired markets generated over $425 million in 24-hour trading volume earlier this month. The activity highlights how tokenization allows equities to function as quote assets, collateral, or building blocks for entirely new DeFi markets, moving beyond a simple change of trading venue.
