Ripple Says Asset Managers Ready for XRP Ledger’s Batch Payments Upgrade

XRP Ledger upgrade — Ripple says asset managers and commercial projects are preparing for the activation of the XRP Ledger’s Batch V1.1 upgrade, which is designed to enable atomic settlement of linked transactions.
The upcoming feature allows up to eight transactions on the ledger to be grouped so they either all succeed or all fail together. This functionality is seen as critical for enabling delivery-versus-payment transactions and could allow exchanges and wallets to process service fees alongside customer payments in a single, atomic operation.
The Batch V1.1 upgrade is expected to activate shortly after September 29, provided validator support remains above 80%. This follows a redesign and extensive security review prompted by the discovery of a critical flaw in the original version of the proposal.
Ripple stated that commercial projects are already being built around the new capability, highlighting growing institutional interest in the XRP Ledger’s infrastructure for complex financial operations.
