SBI Group invests $25 million in stablecoin payments firm dtcpay

SBI Group invests — Japanese financial giant SBI Group has made a strategic investment in stablecoin payments company dtcpay, concluding the Singapore-based firm’s $25 million Series A funding round.
The investment was made through SBI Ventures Asset and the SBI-NTU-Kyobo Digital Innovation Fund. Dtcpay, which holds a payments license in Singapore, provides services including digital asset conversion, custody, and Visa-linked card services across Europe, Hong Kong, Australia, and North America.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to develop an enterprise portal, enhance its application, and expand its merchant network. Dtcpay did not disclose its valuation, revenue, or the specific allocation of the funding proceeds.
The funding round was initially anchored earlier this year by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India. The investment highlights continued institutional interest in the infrastructure supporting the use of digital assets for payments and commerce.
