Riot Platforms Repays $200 Million Credit Facility to Coinbase Credit

Riot Platforms repays — Bitcoin miner Riot Platforms has fully repaid a $200 million credit facility from Coinbase Credit, releasing the collateral that secured the loan.
The company paid the remaining principal and interest on Monday, September III, 2026, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The facility had been secured by a pledge of Riot’s financial assets, including Bitcoin, USDC, and cash, which were held in custody by Coinbase Custody Trust Company.
Riot incurred no early termination fees or penalties in connection with the prepayment. The repayment frees up the company’s pledged assets.
The move comes as Riot continues to expand its data-center business. In August, the company secured a 20-year agreement to supply 191 megawatts of capacity from its Texas campus to AI company Anthropic, a deal subsequently reported to be worth approximately $9 billion.
