Robinhood crypto revenue falls 55% but beats diminished forecasts

crypto revenue falls — Robinhood reported a 55% year-over-year decline in its crypto trading revenue for the third quarter, though the figure still surpassed Wall Street’s lowered expectations.
The company’s crypto transaction revenue totaled $120 million for the quarter, down from approximately $267 million in the same period last year. This result exceeded analyst forecasts of $114.1 million. The drop reflects a 38% decrease in crypto trading volume compared to the third quarter of 2025.
Crypto now accounts for just 8.4% of Robinhood’s total quarterly revenue of $1.42 billion, a significant reduction from roughly 21% a year ago. Despite the sharp decline in crypto revenue, the company noted that its overall blockchain business gained traction during the period.
Shares of Robinhood fell about 5% in after-hours trading following the earnings release, as the company’s overall revenue and earnings per share missed analyst forecasts.
