Bybit Plans Broker Partnerships to Compete with Robinhood in US Market

Bybit CEO Ben Zhou said the crypto exchange will seek major broker partnerships, such as with Interactive Brokers, to challenge Robinhood when it enters the U.S. market.
Zhou outlined the strategy on October 21, 2026, describing partnerships as Bybit’s standard approach for entering new territories. The plan is to collaborate with an established local firm that already has regulatory standing and wants to expand into digital assets.
The CEO stated this model allows Bybit to leverage a partner’s existing infrastructure and compliance framework, rather than navigating the complex U.S. regulatory landscape alone from scratch. Bybit, currently the second-largest crypto exchange by trading volume, is also actively pursuing expansion into the United Kingdom.
This partnership-focused strategy highlights the increasing competition among retail trading platforms for crypto market share in the United States, where regulatory clarity for foreign exchanges remains a significant hurdle.
