Bitcoin Suisse to relocate up to 60 Swiss jobs to lower-cost hubs

Swiss crypto financial services firm Bitcoin Suisse plans to shift up to half of its Swiss-based jobs abroad as part of a restructuring to support its global expansion, according to a report from Swiss publication Finews.
The move could affect up to 60 of the company’s 120 positions in Switzerland, primarily in back-office and administrative roles. These functions are expected to be relocated to lower-cost international hubs in Bratislava and Vietnam, where Bitcoin Suisse plans to establish a new location in the coming years.
CEO Andrej Majcen cited cost as a key factor, stating that operating the affected services in the two target countries would be significantly less expensive. He emphasized that the restructuring was not a reaction to crypto market weakness but part of a strategic push to build a broader international wealth and asset management business.
The news follows the firm’s recent regulatory expansions, having secured licenses in Liechtenstein and Bermuda earlier this year, and receiving full approval for its Middle East subsidiary in Abu Dhabi in July.
