Esports Giant NIP Group Triples Down on Bitcoin Mining Investment

Esports organization Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) Group is significantly expanding its Bitcoin mining operations, acquiring new hardware in a major share-for-equipment deal.

The company announced it is swapping 247 million of its own shares to acquire additional Bitcoin mining machines, tripling its commitment to the sector. NIP Group stated that Bitcoin mining has “earned its place” as a core part of its business strategy moving forward.

The move represents a substantial pivot for the gaming and entertainment giant, signaling a deep conviction in the long-term viability of Bitcoin and its underlying proof-of-work consensus mechanism. The deal underscores the continued institutional interest in Bitcoin’s infrastructure layer.

By converting equity into physical mining assets, NIP Group is betting directly on the future profitability and strategic importance of securing the Bitcoin network. This expansion follows its initial foray into the mining industry earlier this year.
