Bitcoin hits $84K resistance — Bitcoin rebounded toward $84,000 on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, as its price diverged from a deepening sell-off in South Korea‘s technology and semiconductor stocks.

Data from TradingView showed BTC/USD rising over 2.5% to $83,944 on Bitstamp, recovering from a dip near $81,000. The gains came as South Korea’s KOSPI Composite Index extended its weekly losses to 7.4%, falling below its 200-day moving average for the first time since late July. Semiconductor giants SK Hynix and Samsung were hit hard, with foreign investors selling approximately 173 trillion won ($129 billion) worth of their shares year-to-date.

Despite the regional stock market panic, Bitcoin remained within its recent trading range of $80,000 to $87,000. This relative strength persisted even as U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $451 million in net outflows so far in October.

Traders noted significant resistance near the $84,000 level, with exchange order books showing a thick band of sell-side liquidity. Major U.S. inflation data due later in the week is expected to influence broader market sentiment ahead of the Federal Reserve’s upcoming rate decision.
