Bitcoin ETFs See Nearly $1 Billion in Outflows Over Two Weeks

Bitcoin ETFs — U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have recorded nearly $1 billion in net outflows over the past two weeks, extending a period of selling pressure during a historically bullish month for crypto markets.

According to data cited by Decrypt, the funds lost a net $228.6 million this week, following a substantial $681.1 million drain the week prior. This sustained outflow has contributed to a negative performance for Bitcoin in October, a month colloquially known as “Uptober” for its historical price gains.

The consecutive weeks of net withdrawals highlight a shift in investor sentiment or profit-taking following a prolonged rally. Bitcoin’s price has struggled to maintain momentum, trading around $81,565 at the time of reporting.

The trend underscores the ongoing influence of institutional capital flows via ETFs on the broader digital asset market. The data reflects a cooling period for the flagship cryptocurrency after its record-breaking run earlier in the year.
