CleanSpark and BitFuFu report lower Bitcoin production in September

Bitcoin production — Public Bitcoin miners CleanSpark and BitFuFu reported a month-over-month decline in production for September, while competitor Canaan’s output remained flat.
CleanSpark mined 445 Bitcoin in September, a decrease from the 491 BTC it produced in August. The company also announced it will cease issuing monthly operational updates, moving to quarterly reports instead, stating it wants to align with traditional corporate reporting standards.
BitFuFu, which went public via a SPAC merger earlier this year, reported producing 189 BTC in September, down from 214 BTC the prior month. The miner cited operational challenges, including uncertainty surrounding a power purchase agreement for a mining facility in Ethiopia.
In contrast, Canaan Creative reported its self-mining output held steady at 180.5 BTC for September, identical to its August production. The varied performance highlights the ongoing operational and strategic divergences among major publicly listed mining firms.
