Bitcoin steadies — Bitcoin’s price stabilized near $82,500 after former U.S. President Donald Trump stated the country would not launch a strike on Iran before the upcoming midterm elections, recovering from a weekly low.

The leading cryptocurrency rebounded from a Thursday low near $80,300, though it remains approximately 4% lower for the week. The broader digital asset market saw a bounce, with the CoinDesk 80 Index gaining 2.2% since midnight UTC.

Ether (ETH) has underperformed, sliding about 9% over the same weekly period to trade around $2,500. The market’s recovery follows a period of heightened geopolitical tension that had pressured risk assets.

Among altcoins, Starknet’s STRK token surged 33% after the network announced it is considering a transition to a standalone layer-1 blockchain to achieve quantum resistance by 2027.
