Polygon Integrates TRON’s $94 Billion USDT Supply for Cross-Border Payments

Polygon integrates TRON — Polygon Labs has integrated support for the TRON network into its Open Money Stack, enabling businesses to tap into the $94 billion supply of the USDT stablecoin for seamless cross-border transfers.
The integration allows payment providers, remittance firms, and fintech companies to offer services where users can convert bank transfers, debit card payments, or cash into USDT on the TRON network and then cash out to local currency in a recipient’s bank account. The move aims to simplify the process for businesses, which can now access this liquidity through a single integration without needing to connect to separate wallet providers, bridges, or fiat on-ramp operators.
Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal and TRON founder Justin Sun announced the partnership, framing it as a step toward connecting major stablecoins to traditional banking infrastructure. The Open Money Stack is Polygon’s framework for building compliant, real-world financial applications.
The collaboration leverages TRON’s dominant position in the stablecoin market, where it hosts a significant portion of the circulating USDT supply. For Polygon, the integration expands the utility of its ecosystem by providing direct access to a massive pool of dollar-pegged liquidity for enterprise payment flows.
