Strategy and Strive Acquire Over 2,700 Bitcoin in Major Weekly Purchase

Strategy-and-Strive

Public companies Strategy and Strive have collectively purchased 2,773 Bitcoin worth approximately $232.5 million over the past week, signaling continued institutional accumulation despite market headwinds.

Strategy, the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin holder, disclosed it bought 1,665 BTC for $142.7 million, marking its second consecutive weekly purchase. The Nasdaq-listed firm also repurchased $152 million of its preferred stock. Following the buy, Strategy’s treasury now holds 847,666 Bitcoin, valued at roughly $70.5 billion.

Strive, the fifth-largest corporate Bitcoin treasury, separately acquired 1,107 BTC for $94.5 million, increasing its total holdings to 27,462 coins. The purchases come amid a broader trend of corporate treasuries selling Bitcoin this year to manage debt, fund operations, or finance stock buybacks, with some pivoting to other business models.

Both companies have faced significant stock price declines over the past year but maintain their commitment to Bitcoin. Strive CEO Matt Cole emphasized the company’s debt-free, unencumbered balance sheet, while Strategy’s leadership has defended past sales as necessary to strengthen its financial position.
