Bitcoin’s Bull Run Returns as Price Reclaims Key 365-Day Moving Average

Bitcoin's bull run — Bitcoin’s price surge has pushed it above a critical long-term technical indicator, with analysts declaring the bull run is officially back on.

A new report from CryptoQuant states that Bitcoin has crossed above its 365-day moving average, a signal it says has historically marked the definitive start of bull markets. The firm noted this is the first time the asset has reclaimed this “cycle-defining” line since March 2023, suggesting the move carries significant weight beyond a routine bounce.

Bitcoin recently traded near $86,600 after a strong rally, having reached as high as $87,330 earlier in the week. The report suggests long-term holders have finished selling, paving the way for new capital to enter the market.

The analysis comes after a volatile period for Bitcoin, which hit a record of $126,080 in October 2025 before a major liquidation event. The recent resurgence is partly attributed to renewed interest in the “debasement trade,” where investors seek assets like Bitcoin as a hedge against currency devaluation and rising government debt.
